JFG Nation, sorry for a bit of a long weekend hiatus. Last week was a little rough with the adulting and this coming week will be too! No, I’m not ending the blog – just the DMV and dealing with contractors sucking my will to live. That’s all!

Today, since you guys know I’m a fan of regionalized speech patterns / dialects / pronunciations, I’d like to ask you how you say the word “caramel?” Do you use three syllables and say Care-A-Mel? Or are you a two syllable person, who says Car-muhl? Or are you some whackado who says it a random third way?

I’m a three syllable guy. You, JFG Nation? Let me know in the comments.

Today’s junk food: New Salted Caramel Oreo Thins!!

Car-muhl Oreos! Why did they come out with a thin version before the regular version? Who knows why Oreo does what it does.

DO THESE TASTE GOOD? YES.

WHY OR WHY NOT? Let’s get this out of the way: Oreo Thins are great, especially the Golden Oreo ones – something about that thin vanilla wafer is really easy to eat. These were going to be delicious to me no matter what.

Opening the package, I enjoyed the aroma: one part caramel, one part brown sugar. Lots of Golden Oreo smell but slightly different.

I opened one up and tasted the creme – it was muted but there was a definite salted caramel flavor. I wanted it to be bolder but I wasn’t a hater of it – it was slightly salty and had a sort of Brach’s caramel taste.

Eaten altogether, these were a super tasty cookie. The Golden Oreo, thin as it was, was still the dominant flavor, but I did get smacks of salted caramel here and there. I would’ve liked the salt to be bolder, but I can’t complain too much because these cookies were YUMMY. Yummers. Yum yums.

ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW? Someone take this package away from me. Seriously, these are too delicious.
