Jumbo Jumbo In Stores Now

Junk Food Nation, it’s picture clearin’ time!  I take these pictures of products when I go into stores, and then I save them up, and then by the time I post them – these items aren’t so new anymore.  Well, that’s dumb.  So it’s time to clear the chamber.

FOUND AT TARGET: The Junk Food Gal has purchased and used this, and her review is, “Not bad.” I think it’s funny that International Delight, in an effort to show this is Salted Caramel Mocha flavored creamer, has a picture of cube caramels, half dipped in chocolate, with a little clump of salt in the center.  These don’t really exist, do they??

FOUND IN SUPER WALMART: Wait, so these Oatmeal Delights Pop-Tarts are just plain old Pop-Tarts with a little bit of oatmeal crumble in the shell pastry? No thanks.

FOUND IN SUPER WALMART: IT’S BACK! My most Pinned items on this blog – Popcorn Indiana Drizzled Black & White Kettlecorn and Popcorn Indiana Dark Fudge Chocolate Chip Kettlecorn. You better rush out and buy this shizz.  It’s delectable.

FOUND IN TARGET: Whoa, I’ve reviewed a bunch of these in the past too.  And by a bunch, I mean one of them – the York Peppermint Pretzel Sandwich Dips.  Those were spectacular.  The rest of them I’ll probably continue to pass on, but they do look tasty – pretzels dipped in Hershey’s Milk Chocolate, Special Dark Chocolate, and White Creme Chocolate? Yummy.

FOUND IN SAFEWAY: Holiday Funfetti Cake Mix!  …..it’s just cake mix with red and white and green sprinkles? That’s boring. And at the top it says, “As Always Pudding In The Mix.” What does that mean? Pudding is in this cake mix? I need someone who has made one of these to explain.

FOUND IN SAFEWAY: Red and Green Morsels are just red and green chocolate chips.  Yawn.  But…..

FOUND IN SAFEWAY: Dark Chocolate and Mint Morsels…mint chocolate chips?? Sign me up!  I need these on ice cream, stat.

FOUND IN WALMART: Weird looking goblet, this is. Star Wars Hot Cocoa Mix??? Sipped out of the head of Yoda?  This is a perfect holiday gift! I don’t remember Yoda’s head being THAT big…very Pinky and the Brain-ish.

FOUND IN WALMART: The Chewbacca one is just as funny looking.

FOUND IN WALMART: Charms Blow Pop Minis??? So these are just the candy coated bubble gum, WITHOUT the stick.  UM….WHERE HAVE THESE BEEN BEFORE??? I *HATE* THE STICK IN BLOW POPS.  Gets all saliva soaked and gross.  These aren’t ONLY around for the holidays, are they??

FOUND IN WALMART: Finally, Candy Cane Flavored Pop Rocks.  First of all, I don’t love Pop Rocks.  I had them recently, and they were OOoooookkkkkk…..but I remember being a kid and they used to pop the hell out of my mouth and hurt me.  So I didn’t like them.  But at least they were sweet – to take that candy formula and make it candy cane flavored?  I cannot think of anything worse than a super carbonated popping mint candy in my mouth.  No.  Nooooo.  sorry. No.

  1. Hee, I remember joking with a friend that the worst wedding cake ever would be a Funfetti cake. I can totally see that scene in a Steve Carrell movie – he cuts into the cake, realizes it’s a Funfetti cake, then realizes his friends are losers…

  2. Shorneys says:

Yeah – Pillsbury puts pudding mix into its cake mixes for creaminess, moisture, added cake structure. Seems like this isn’t uncommon – a search for “Pillsbury Pudding In The Mix” turned up a couple of boards where people who normally stir pudding into their cakes were wondering if it was OK to do this when using a Pillsbury cake mix. Weird. Maybe I’ll demand pudding in my wedding cake next year. No funfetti though.

As for the pretzels, I prefer Rold Gold’s chocolate covered pretzels because they don’t partner with Hershey. Hershey “chocolate” just tastes like wax, man.

“Sipped out of the head of Yoda? A perfect holiday gift, this is!”

    FTFY

  4. Elisa says:

You could pour both of the Nestle morsels packages into a bowl and serve it as a party snack.

  5. Nick Rovo says:

Hmm I wonder why ice cream companies don’t use mint chips in their ice cream. It would actually make their mint chip, well mint chip!

  6. Leslie says:

I need the head of a fuzzy little ewok.

  7. Kel McClanahan says:

They also have a Darth Vader helmet mug. I saw it in CVS. He looks like Dark Helmet.

  8. Emma says:

Omg. Those dark chocolate and mint morsels are a must have. I bought them for cookie making and ended up just eating them.
