MICRO-REVIEW: Cracked Pepper & Olive Oil Wheat Thins

Today’s junk food: Cracked Pepper & Olive Oil Wheat Thins!!

I love Wheat Thins. I love black pepper. I love olive oil.

DO THESE TASTE GOOD? YES.

WHY OR WHY NOT? These are not going to be for everyone, but I loved these. These were great. As soon as I opened the box, I could smell a heavy cracked black pepper aroma.

Popping a couple crackers into my mouth, the flavor was strong, bold, and unmistakeable – strong black pepper flavor. It danced on my tongue and crackled with a toy bit of spice. This was straight up black pepper flavor.

All of that sat on a background flavor of extra virgin olive oil. The slight creaminess of the strong flavor of olive oil reminded me of those dishes of oil you find in Italian restaurants that you dip bread into. That’s what these were. Wheat Thins dipped into dishes of olive oil that have cracked black pepper inside.

If you’re into that flavor, then you’re gonna love love love these. Might be one of my new favorite flavors. This and Buffalo. Really really good.

ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW? No – too busy chewing.

PURCHASED AT: Wegmans, Germantown, MD.

WHERE FOUND IN STORE? End cap, cracker aisle.

COST? $2.50.

Sincerely,

The JFG

Damn I might have to pick these up! You seem to try more snack aisle crackers and chips than any other site, I appreciate that pesudo-niche 😉

Btw I am IN LOVE with those new Ritz Thin n Crispy you talked about on your last Nosh Show. The Salt and Vinegar are TNT!

I just had these and it might just be my imagination, but I got a strong lemon vibe.
