JFG Nation, Easter approaches! And so does the end of Lent. So, I ask: What’d you give up for lent? I remember a buddy of mine once gave up the elevator or escalator – that was a good one. Another foolish friend of mine gave up coffee for 40 days. FORTY! I don’t know how she did it. She’s asleep in some ditch right now, I’m sure.

Today’s junk food: Parmesan Garlic Smartfood Popcorn!!

For those of you who don’t know, my method of eating popcorn is: I can’t get enough kernels into my mouth at one time. I need to pack my mouth so full that I’m bulging at the cheeks. THAT’S how I like to eat popcorn; like I’m storing it for the winter.

DO THESE TASTE GOOD? YES.

WHY OR WHY NOT? This one is simple – BECAUSE IT’S CHEESE POPCORN WITH GARLIC. When I first gave the bag to the JFGal to smell, her eyes lit up and she audibly yelled, OH THIS SMELLS GOOD. I had to fight her to get the bag back!

The popcorn was super cheesy and tasty but the Parmesan flavor is only hinted at – I did catch notes of tartness that Parmesan usually has. Otherwise, it is just a general amalgam of strong cheesiness which I’m not complaining about – but I wish the parm flavor in particular was stronger. The garlic flavor was pungent and painted every bite with its garlicky goodness. It was plenty garlicky because I could taste it as I exhaled.

Despite the slightly weak parm flavor, the combination tasted deliciously good. BECAUSE ITS STILL CHEESE POPCORN WITH GARLIC.

ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW? The JFGal told me never to buy this again; she’d be too tempted to eat the whole bag.
