When I opened the box and sniffed these Limited Edition Pumpkin & Spice Triscuit, I got a tiny tiny whiff of cinnamon. Not much; mostly I got that normal wheat-y Triscuit smell. I crunched a cracker and…the pumpkin spice flavor was REALLY subtle. These Triscuits tasted almost buttery, with the Pumpkin and Spice flavor sitting on top of that. The flavor, I have to say, wasn’t that complex. I could pick up a decent amount of pumpkin and a bit of cinnamon, and that’s about it. No clove, no nutmeg, etc.

After another cracker, I can say these are only slightly sweeter than a normal Triscuit….barely. These crackers have a salty sweet balance that is not even Kettle-Corn-territory – these are only BAAARRREEELYY sweet. These were, like, sweet potato-sweet.

Hmm. Not sure how to feel about these. On one hand, the pumpkin flavor was good, if inconsistent – it was stronger on some crackers than others. Still, a good pumpkin flavor. On the other hand, there is no boldness in the spice profile. Lack of pop. But the crackers tasted nice and buttery, and the overall crunch was standard Triscuit fare.

I’d say these are good and worth a buy, but don’t expect to be blown away. These aren’t bold like the Smoked Gouda or Cranberry Sage Triscuits. But there are a decent eat.

Ok, ok, NOW I’m off! Have a great weekend, JFG Nation!

These were way too dry, only use for them would be crumble them up in stuffing or something
