Today’s junk food: Pringles LOUD Spicy Queso!!

Pringles LOUD Spicy Queso aren’t on shelves yet, but this and other flavors will be on shelves at Family Dollar in January. Loud & Layered…. I gotta be honest; I’m not quite sure what that means. Maybe it’ll be more evident with other flavors.

I opened these Pringles LOUD Spicy Queso and could smell nacho cheese….maybe a little sharper, like cheddar.

The look of these Pringles reminded me a lot of the Pringles Tortillas. I guess that’s what they meant by “crunchy corn crisps.”

I popped a few of these Pringles LOUD Spicy Queso chips into my mouth and chewed….and these definitely tasted A LOT like the Nacho Cheese Pringles Tortillas. As I chewed them, there was a definite burn on the back end; the same type of burn you might find in Spicy Nacho Doritos. Other than that these were pretty straightforward – really salty, decently cheesy, small burn.

Now that I see the similarities between these and the Pringles Tortillas, I wonder if Pringles is just rebranding the Tortillas line with some other experimental chips under the LOUD label. Sort of like how Nabisco moved the Rice Thins under the Good Thins label.

But enough musing – if you like the Pringles Tortillas, you’ll like these a lot.
Purchased at: Coming up, Q1, Family Dollar

Cost: I’m sure they’ll be decently cheap

Sincerely,

The JFG
