Micro-Review: New Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Chip Breakfast Biscuits & Introducing Micro-Reviews
Hey Junk Food Nation. I wanted to introduce something new I’m trying: micro-reviews. Like Micro Machines. Remember those? I spent all my lunch money collecting them. And now I blog about junk food. I made a wrong turn somewhere.
Anyways, if you haven’t noticed, I’ve been only reviewing things on Monday/Wednesday/Fridays since the beginning of the year. I’ve had other stuff going on; however, the amount of food that gets stacked up in my queue keeps growing. So, on Tuesdays and Thursday, I’m going to micro-review some things – no schtick, no blurbs, and no real other info either…just a couple of pics and my take. We’ll see how it goes.
Today’s junk food: New Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Chip Breakfast Biscuits!!
New Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Chip Breakfast Biscuits smelled like oatmeal cookies when I opened the package. Like other breakfast biscuits, these came four to a pouch, and I could tell were really crumbly (in a good way). First bite: definite cereal-like flavor (heh, like Honey Bunches of Oats) and was nice and sweet. Breakfast biscuits are essentially big, thin cookies, but these weren’t super crunchy – just a nice crunchy bite like an average cookie. Sweetness was not cloying; reminded me more of like Cracklin’ Oat Bran, which I love. The tiny bits of chocolate chips were hit or miss, but when chewed overall did add a small amount of chocolate flavor to the overall cookie. Pretty tasty; I enjoy breakfast biscuits like Belvita, so I’d buy these again.

Micro Machines! Why were these so cool when I was 8? I guess they stopped making them when they realized that kids eat them and put them in…places. Plus it hurt when you inevitably step on them
Love this idea, but can you still add pics of the nutrition facts/ingredients?
I like the idea of doing micro-reviews. I like the “schtick and blurbs”, too. Both is good!
