Review: Hannah Max Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Chips & The Nosh Show, Episode 19 & Getting McDonald’s Delivered??

Junk Food Nation, ever wish you could live in Australia?  The beautiful Naomi Watts, Liam Hemsworth lookalikes, walking around everywhere?  The hundreds of deadly species of insects waiting to kill you?  Ah, it’s like paradise.  But now there’s even ANOTHER reason to want to go down under – launched last month, McDonald’s has started to offer delivery in certain parts of Australia!

For a $25 minimum order, you can select a bevy of Happy Meals, burgers, fries, and other goodies delivered right to your door!  Because when DON’T you spend $25 or more at McD’s?  (Good Lord.) “Yeah, gimme 10 Big Mac and 6 extra large fries.  And can you slap some shame sauce in the bag too? Nice.”

Apparently, this move has resulted in a little protest in Aussieland, because the area where this was first launched (North Parramatta) is “the second highest overweight suburb, just behind south western Sydney.” <sad trombone sound>  McDonald’s claims that area was chosen because it had high population density. Why can’t it be both?  I mean, plenty of overweight people LOVE to congregate in high dense population areas and chowdown.  It’s called an IHOP, and I’ve eaten at a billion of them.

So, if you’ve ever thought, “Man, I want McNuggets right now, but I just don’t want to move!” have no fear – you dream of delivery chicken nuggs is just a 4000+ mile plane ride away.

Hannah Max Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Chips: The Money Shot

Remember when I reviewed Hannah Max Cookie Chips a while back? Yeah those.  Yeah, they were good, weren’t they? I mean the people in my office couldn’t stop eating them.  Well, the good people at HM sent me their new flavor to review: Hannah Max Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Chips!

Hannah Max Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Chips: Chocolatey Choco Choco Choco

Actually, I’m not sure how new these Hannah Max Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Chips are, but they are new to me, and I stoked.  I mean, thin cookie chips are nice, but the concern is always a reduced flavor or that thin chip = thin flavor.  But you go and make it double chocolate?  LET’S DO THIS.

Hannah Max Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Chips have, essentially, ten ingredients.  Yummy.

Hannah Max Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Chips: That’s a nice crackly surface

When I opened the bag of these Hannah Max Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Chips, and breathed in the aroma, chocolate smell was EVERYWHERE.  I don’t want to say these smelled exactly like fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, but they evoked that memory – there was a warm chocolate smell that also seemed a bit charred?  Maybe my brain was playing tricks on me.

Hannah Max Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Chips: sort of looks like a thin brownie

I munched one of these Hannah Max Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie Chips, then two, then three, then NOM NOM NOM – WOW.  These were REALLY good.  Probably my favorite of all the Hannah Max flavors!

Like the other Hannah Max offerings, the texture was nice and light – a thin cookie that crunched well, and didn’t feel heavy.  But the chocolate flavor was anything but light.  The way the cookie was baked, the surface sort of looked like a brownie, and the taste of these reminded me of brownies!  Dark chocolatey and fudge-y, yet not TOO sweet.  The sweetness kicked in whenever my teeth would hit a chocolate chip, which there were plenty of.  When that happened, the chocolate flavor would get a major boost.

To be honest, these reminded me a LOT of Sheila G’s Bronwnie Brittle – a crunchy chocolatey flaky concoction.  The dark chocolate flaky dough tasted plenty chocolatey due to the plentiful chocolate chips, while maintaining it’s light texture.  I could eat 20-30 of these.  Which I’m sure I did.

If you can find these, buy these, asap.

PURCHASED AT: Sent to me, but you can buy them at THESE STORES.

  1. Shorneys says:

My worst McDonald’s moment came about 2 years out of college. I was living the bachelor life in an apartment in NJ. Overall, I did most things well – I kept a single apartment filled with IKEA crap, cooked for myself, generally wasn’t filthy, etc… But one day I got a craving for McDonald’s, but there was also TV on.

Walk down a flight of stairs; walk around the building to my car; drive 0.12 miles to McDonald’s; go through the drive-thru; drive 0.12 miles back to my apartment; up the stairs; eat in shame on my couch while watching Fear Factor. I’d like to say I would have murdered someone for McD’s delivery, but let’s face it – murdering would have taken way more effort than I was willing to expend at the time.

  2. Sarah says:

I have seen McDonald’s being delivered in Santiago….on a motorcycle, through hours of traffic, with the lid of the “keep it warm case” flapping in the wind. I think I’ll stick with drive through.

  3. Elisa says:

I think there’s a Burger King that does delivery in DC but can’t remember which location.

  4. Chrissy says:

There are tons of McDonald’s all over Manhattan that delivers but many of the reviews are poor. One irate customer said he or she waited one hour for a fish-o-filet sandwich. I wonder how long s/he would’ve waited for a whole meal.
