As Seen in LA, Pt. 2 & The Two Greatest YouTube Videos…Of the Past Five Days
Junk Food Nation, I just wanted to discuss a couple of YouTube videos I saw this past week that NEED to be shown to the world. If you haven’t seen these everywhere already, you need to watch now.

Ok, let’s take a look at this first video:
Hot chick exercising, right? Already it’s a great video…then take a peek at the left side of your screen at the 0:21 mark. WOW. Deadspin has been all over this, but seriously – I could not stop laughing when I saw this. I am, of course, a child.
Next up, from this year’s arm wrestling championships …somewhere in Europe?
WOW. And people complain about female tennis players making noise? This was just frightening, yet oddly arousing. Just kidding. Or am I? All I know is I’d hate to see what its like when this girl isn’t able to get a jar open. Yikes. Calm down, it’s just olives. I’ll eat something else.
Let’s take a look at some more stuff from the West Coast:

Jell-O Strawberry Sundae pudding? Now this looks interesting. What’s with the wacky packaging though? Paint splotches, swirls, EXXTREME font? Who knew strawberry sundaes were so WILD AND FUNKY.

Dreyer’s is just the West Coast Edy’s, which still amuses me. I just liked how this flavor was German Chocolate Cake SPECTACULAR. Chocolate cake with coconut pecan frosting? I mean, I GUESS that’s spectacularzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

“Three stripes and you’re out” just made me chuckle. I love play on words and baseball… this looks like a berry striped ice cream, which I can get behind – simplicity is sometimes the best way to go.

I AM ALL FOR THE USE OF PRETZEL IN ICE CREAM!!! Why doesn’t this happen more often? Crunchy and salty paired with smooth creamy and sweet? Makes sense to me.

Apparently there is a popular Korean toy called Donutella, which is a girl…dressed up in donuts? See, I asked a girl to do this once, and got slapped. Go figure.

The top half is the salt shaker, and then there’s pepper in the pants! I spent a good five minutes playing with this in the store. Judge me, I don’t care.

VERY tempted to buy this one – I mean, the Luchador puts your bottle in a headlock! Come on…some kind of design genius here. Although this Luchador also sort of looks like an S&M doll, so….pass.

Sassy Sweet Tomato Miracle Whip? On one hand, this is ketchup..sort of. On the other hand, this sounds horrible.

Sweet & Salty pretzel was new in 2011…Makes me wonder just how long that container has been there aha. I’m all for more pretzel flavors and Edy’s also has a pretzel flavor that’s limited for the summer as well. @Nick: How many companies out there are doing pretzel flavors, currently?
@Eric, Off the top of my head the widely available ones would be ben & jerrys chubby hubby, skinny cow has new pretzel ice cream bars, turkey hill has pa dutch pretzel thats a limited edition flavor that’ll be back in the coming months, breyers has the new chocolate pretzel blast! which technically isn’t ice cream but whatever, umm I think that’s it for the big name companies. There are small batch companies doing pretzel flavors as well though I just can’t think of the names at the moment. You just need to keep an eye out for them.
Oh wow, almost forgot one of my all-time favorite novelties: The Caramel Pretzel Klondike Bar!

@Eric, highly recommend them. I also remembered Turkey Hill produces a light snyders pretzel flavor as well. Nestle had a pretzel drumstick and a caramel pretzel bar last year for their limited edition products but they’ve been replaced with the cinnamunch ones.
That 1st YouTube video is classic!

Mayfield has a crunchy caramel pretzel also.
I tried the Skinny Cow Pretzel Bars this weekend, really good stuff.
Donutella is actually not Korean. The guy who draws her is French. 🙂 Just thought I’d help you out with that.
