Junk Food Nation, my apologies for the soft post today – amidst all the craziness with the storm, the car troubles, election fever, being swamped at work with endless trials, and just general busy-busy trying to keep myself clean and fed, I almost forgot: TODAY (and tomorrow) is the 2012 DC Metro Cooking Show!

For those of you unfamiliar, the show website describes this event as: “The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show is a two-day food-lover’s event featuring hundreds of exhibitors, cooking demos, tastings, workshops, book signings and appearance by Food Network celebrities.” NICE.

Celebs! Food! Claustrophobia!

This show will have everything: for the celeb watchers and Food Network/Bravo crowd, PLENTY of celebrity chefs to be gawked at. For the stay-at-home chefs, plenty of cool new gadgets and ingredients to peruse and purchase.  And for people who just like to eat, like me? SAMPLES.

Will this be a food smorgasbord like the Summer Fancy Food Show was?  Remains to be seen. Still, I’m excited.  All day today, I’ll be Facebooking, Tweeting @junkfoodguy, and Instagramming – so follow me to follow along with my food adventure!  I’ll see you back here tomorrow!
