Junk Food Guy Seeking: Arnott’s Shapes Roadies

Junk Food Nation, first, my apologies.  When WordPress (or my server) decides to flare up, it can be really frustrating.  Clicking refresh refresh refresh only to be confronted by 500 internal serve error over and over – SO UPSETTING.

Anyways, so today’s post will be quick about Arnott’s Shapes, and more specifically, their brand new Roadies line of snacks.  My friend Claire told me about these, so I decided to do a little research.

So Arnott’s Shapes are a very very popular snack cracker line in Australia.  They are called Arnott’s Shapes because each different flavor of cracker has a different shape; for example Cheddar Shapes are rectangular while Chicken Crimpy Shapes are circular.  They come in a whole wide range of flavors from Pizza to Chicken Drumstick to Mediterranean Feta and Herb.  These crackers are sold as “baked, not fried.”  I am SO curious to what these taste like!  I am guessing they taste great and that their consistency is a lot like our Chicken in a Biskit crackers.

The Roadies line of snacks is brand new – just came out this September 2011!

These new snacks, I’m guessing, are very much like the Pepperidge Farm Baked Naturals I previously reviewed.  More of a snack chip.  And if so, YUMMY!  They come in a wide range of flavors, including: Peri Peri Chicken, Sea Salt and Vinegar, Tangy BBQ Ribs, Sizzling Pepper Steak, Chilli (again with the double L!), and Crispy Cheddar Potato Skins.

Now THOSE are some flavors, Nation!  And I want them all, in my mouth, NOW.  If only I lived down under. Someone send me some. Now.  Please.

@Bob – too true – I may need to just check out World Market or something. These seem too good to wait until I go to Australia.

    Are you living overseas?
I just found this website called ‘Aussie Corner Deli’…I think they send stuff overseas…

I live in Adelaide, & the only flavor I can get at the Halfway Hotel is Tango BBQ RIBS, don’t get me wrong, I love’em, it’s just that Pepper Steak sounds very tempting, I’ve asked the guys there to bring in more flavors, but nothing yet. I’m a big fan of this snack, goes well with my drinking sessions, I say to Arnotts, Keep’em coming guys. Cheers.

I can confirm that the Peri-Peri variety are also incredible.
The flavour develops — first the lime, then the mild peri-peri, then a good whack of chilli.
The Peppered Steak variety is also very nommie.

    Tried them all, amazing.
Let me say, they are a perfect crunch. When drinking beer, the chilli flavor works like an absolute charm. People will choose the chilli over an expensive cheese or pate, they are that good. Get onto it, don’t eat em whilst sober, Junk Food bro in Australia
